Characteristics:

UNC threads have a coarse thread (Coarse):

Compared with Fine (usually expressed as UNF), UNC thread has a larger pitch (i.e. the axial distance between two adjacent teeth at two points on the median line), so it has stronger connection strength and higher efficiency, and is suitable for occasions that need to withstand a larger load or need to be assembled quickly.

For example, the marking of a UNC thread may be ‘1/2-13 UNC 2B’, where ‘1/2’ means that the thread diameter is 1/2 inch, and ‘13’ means that the number of teeth per inch is 13, i.e., the number of teeth per inch is 13, i.e., the number of teeth per inch is 13. Compared with UNC (Unified National Coarse threaded), UNF threaded has the following characteristics:

What is the difference between UNC v UNF?
